How we'd move these numbers

Multipoint inspection discipline: a documented MPI on every RO is the single biggest driver of hours/RO.
Menu & declined-service follow-up: recapturing declined work is worth $1,800/mo in labor alone here.
Effective labor rate: closing your rate gap to benchmark adds margin with zero extra cars.

How to use this tool

  1. Set repair orders per day and your service days open per month.
  2. Enter your effective labor rate, what you actually collect per hour, not your door rate.
  3. Set your parts-to-labor ratio (parts sales per $1 of labor).
  4. Drag current hours per RO to where you are, then nudge the target up. The orange number is the annual labor + parts you're leaving on the table.

Where to find these numbers

  • ROs & hours/RO: your DMS service summary or a DOC report, customer-pay focus.
  • Effective labor rate: total CP labor sales ÷ CP hours billed (your fixed-ops statement).
  • Parts-to-labor: CP parts sales ÷ CP labor sales for the same period.
  • Not sure? Pull last month's service financial statement, every number here is on it.

Like the upside? Here's how we go get it.

This isn't a Monday-morning review after the financials close. Send us your numbers and we'll start with the blocking and tackling, MPI discipline, a declined-work follow-up, a rate plan, in the order that moves the needle first.
